		<description>But the problem with AV is that it&#039;s the second preference of those who voted for the candidate who came LAST that are then taken into account.  With Labour, Tory and Lib Dem likely to be in the top three, voters for one of these parties may never even have their second preference taken into account - it will be the second preference of voters of the BNP, Monster Raving Loony Party, etc.

In other words, it is the minority who are out of touch with the rest of the population (because they voted for parties that did the worst in the election) that then get to decide who is elected. It&#039;s absolute madness, and I can&#039;t see why anyone thinks it&#039;s a good idea.</description>
